How Does a Dishwasher Work Step by Step?

By | October 3, 2020

A dishwasher is a type of robot that cleans dirty dishes. It cleans dishes itself, but users need to load the dishes, set the washing cycles, add detergent, and turn it on. A dishwasher performs a variety of tasks, including adding water, maintaining appropriate water temperature, opening the detergent dispenser, shooting the water through jets to clean dishes, draining the dirty water, spraying water on dishes to thoroughly rinse them, and drying the dishes using heated air.

How Dishwashers Work (Step by Step)

  1. The machine is connected to your home water supply.
  2. The heating system powered by electricity heats the water to an appropriate temperature (30°C –60°C). The hot water eliminates all types of dirt and bacteria that may cause serious health conditions.
  3. An electric pump located at the bottom pumps the water to the side walls.
  4. The water shoots up through the holes in the bottom and upper sides through a paddle. The upper paddle is made up of plastic, while the bottom one is made up of metal.
  5. After the water has cleaned the dishes, it goes back to the bottom (where it’s heated) and pumped around again.
